http://saltedfreedom.tv Most of us don't start out looking for 'binge food'. In fact for many of us seeking effective eating disorder treatment, our binge food rituals START by starving ourselves. This CAN go on for a period of time, but not forever. Eventually we WILL GIVE IN to eating, and usually by that point the 'eating disorder mind' is not on the prowl for a plate of fresh veggies or a juicy green apple. Nope our 'eating disorder binge foods' of choice are almost always high fat, high sugar, high salt foods... and just like the old slogan for 'Lays Potato Chips' goes: Bet'cha Can't Eat Just One! If you want to quit alcohol you can but you will need to get help to cure you. David knows what he's talking about, after being an alcoholic he h...

Anyways, brilliant clip, excellent movie, credit to Phase 4 Films for putting it together, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnQnarrgYWg . The only thing I would add to the addiction topic is a perspective from another renowned psychologist who said that 10% of the population can become addicted to anything, like video games and walking in circles in their back yard. http://saltedfreedom.tv Most of us don't start out looking for 'binge food'. Found out what MY OLD binge food faves were... and why sugar addiction IS a valiant enemy needing a stealthy plan of attack if you ever hope to win. Effective eating disorder treatment happens in your mind, your environment, and on your spoon. In this video I will teach you: - WHY it is important to see the binge food I came from, to see where YOURS are taking you. - WHAT binge food I LOVED to hate (this was ritualistic!) - Reminders about the proof behind why refined table sugar is actually classified as a 'drug'. - What your emotions have to do with your binge food cravings. Don't delay, press play right now and empower yourself with effective eating disorder treatment strategies, and some of the 'binge food' information that set me FREE from my eating disorders evil control! http://www.thebestyoumagazine.co/ In this tutorial reformed alcoholic David Smallwood talks about how to treat Alcohol addiction. David outlines the reasons why people get addicted to alcohol and why, they can never treat or cure themselves and must seek professional help. In terms of drinking, an alcoholic builds up a tolerance which means as time moves on, he needs more drink to satisfy his addiction. This is true for any addiction and its a fact that many people have multiple addictions. If you want to cure alcohol addiction, you should learn why people become addicted and it then becomes clear, you will never cure the addiction on your own. If you want to quit alcohol you can but you will need to get help to cure you. David knows what he's talking about, after being an alcoholic he has now been free of the addiction for 25 years. A good intro on why people become addicted to drinking and how to cure the addiction.

This is my favorite clip from "The Culture High." Dr. Gabor Maté explains addiction and why treating addicts like criminals does nothing to solve their problems. It's time for us all to collectively feel compassion for one another again and to acknowledge that the drug war is a complete failure that is no closer to its stated goals than it was 40 years ago! Many people get addicted to extremely dangerous things like skydiving, base jumping, and bull fighting, but the majority of the public has no desire to outlaw any of these activities, and there's no financial incentive for politicians to prohibit any of them.

We need to stop blaming addicts and start treating them. Right now, our treatment options are severely limited and often misguided. In this talk, Ed Stevenson passionately describes why we desperately need more treatment centers and better treatment options if we are to help our friends and family who struggle with addictions. Ed was born in Leadville Colorado, which is referred to as the two-mile- high city sitting at 10,252 feet. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest where he attended college and majored in Business and Photography. Prior to graduation he was sought after by a large multi-national firm and then spent most of his career as an executive in the software consulting industry, working with Fortune 500 companies in Alaska, California and Seattle prior to settling in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho a few years ago. Once back in the Northwest, he and his wife co-founded Life Recovery Solutions, a behavior modification software company. His brother and nephew both died at an early age because of drugs and alcohol and because of this he spends his free time helping those struggling with addiction and other afflictions. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

This video, produced by http://www.videoigniter.com and http://www.reset.me, highlights how psychedelic medicines are saving lives worldwide. Numerous studies show these substances are non-neurotoxic, non-addictive and are having profound effects curing some of the most stubborn mental health disorders by helping people purge bottled up trauma. MDMA is curing debilitating PTSD in veterans. Psilocybin, the psychedelic compound in magic mushrooms, is alleviating anxiety and depression. LSD was used successfully for decades to combat alcohol addictions and anxiety. Ayahuasca is helping people purge traumatic memories while increasing serotonin levels in the brain. Psychedelics are some of the most profound medicines known to man. To learn more about these natural therapies, please visit reset.me .
